Quote Decoder
Already got a quote and wondering if it is fair? Paste it in. We grade it against what those moves actually completed for on the open market and flag the lowball-then-raise setup this industry is famous for. No phone number, no email, no quote of your own to sit through.
Quote Decoder FAQ
- How do you decide whether my quote is fair?
- We compare the number you were quoted against what those moves actually completed for on the open marketplace and against the named-broker quotes we track for the same route, vehicle size, and trailer type. Every comparison is labeled by source.
- What is the lowball-then-raise setup?
- A broker wins your booking with a price well below the market, cannot find a carrier to haul it that cheap, then calls back days later asking for more once your move is time-sensitive. When your quote lands suspiciously low, we flag it so you can plan for it.
- Do I have to give my phone number or email?
- No. You paste a quote you already have and get a grade back. We never collect your contact information and never sell it, which is the entire point of this site.
- Is the graded price a guarantee?
- No. Quotes in this market are non-binding estimates, not offers. The decoder is guidance to help you spot a bad number and negotiate, not a promise of any price.
